Fuel prices across India have increased sharply, adding pressure on household budgets and intensifying inflation concerns. Petrol has become costlier by ₹3 per litre, while diesel has risen by ₹3.11 per litre. CNG prices have also increased by ₹2, affecting transportation costs nationwide. The impact is visible in regions like Delhi, Punjab (Mohali/Chandigarh tri-city), Jammu, and other parts of the country. Daily commuters, delivery workers, and middle-class families are among the worst affected, with many saying that rising fuel costs will further increase the prices of essential goods and services due to higher transportation expenses. While some citizens attribute the rise to global crude oil fluctuations and geopolitical tensions, others have expressed frustration and urged the government to provide relief as household budgets continue to tighten.
