A significant development has emerged in the Bharat Tiwari encounter case in Bihar’s Bhojpur district. Seven days after the controversial police operation, Jagdishpur DSP Rajesh Sharma has been removed from his post with immediate effect and attached to the police headquarters pending further orders. Pankaj Mishra has been appointed as his replacement. The action comes after an FIR was reportedly registered against Rajesh Sharma, SHO Rajesh Malakar, and other police personnel based on a complaint filed by Bharat Tiwari’s mother. Family members and eyewitnesses have alleged that the incident was not a genuine encounter and have demanded a thorough investigation. Meanwhile, a Sarvdaliya Mahapanchayat has been organized in Bilauti village to press for justice. According to family members, large numbers of people are expected to participate in the gathering. Bharat Tiwari’s relatives continue to question the circumstances of the shooting and are demanding strict action against those found responsible. The case remains a major issue in Bihar, with legal, administrative, and public scrutiny continuing to intensify.
