Breaking: Delhi Preet Vihar parking dispute turns deadly, youth shot dead, police launch hunt

In a shocking incident reported from the national capital, a parking dispute in the Preet Vihar area of East Delhi escalated into fatal violence, resulting in the death of a young man. According to preliminary information, the victim identified as Pankaj Nayyar was allegedly shot in the chest following an altercation over parking space. The incident took place in the jurisdiction of Delhi’s Preet Vihar locality, an area that has witnessed heavy residential density and increasing concerns over parking-related disputes in recent years. Eyewitness accounts and initial police inputs suggest that the confrontation quickly escalated, leading to the use of a firearm. It is alleged that the accused, identified as Gaurav Sharma along with his associates, were involved in the shooting. After the incident, the accused reportedly fled the scene, prompting the police to launch search operations and conduct raids in nearby areas to trace them. Law enforcement officials have registered a case and initiated an investigation to determine the sequence of events, motive, and possible prior conflict between the individuals involved. Forensic teams are also expected to examine the crime scene for ballistic and other physical evidence. The incident has raised renewed concerns about rising instances of violent confrontations over relatively minor disputes in densely populated urban neighborhoods. Residents in the area have expressed shock over the sudden escalation of what began as a parking disagreement into a fatal shooting.
