‘Friends’ star Courteney Cox and Johnny McDaid, best known for being part of the iconic band ‘Snow Patrol,’ have officially called it quits. According to recent reports, the couple parted ways after being together on and off for the past 13 years.

The Daily Mail reported that Cox and McDaid have officially parted ways. The two first met in 2013 and were together from there on, except for a brief split in 2015. The report shared that the 62-year-old and the 49-year-old had already split last year, and it was a mutual decision.The two were leading different lives, which ultimately led them to part ways after being together for around 13 years. There are no hard feelings between them, and the split was amicable.A statement from the report about their breakup read, “Johnny speaks incredibly highly of Courteney. They had a very deep relationship, and they remain extremely amicable. They are great friends and care about each other very much. This was not an ugly split. They had simply reached a point where they were living different lives.” McDaid is already in the early stages of another relationship, as both have moved on from one another. No other details were shared about what happened between the two. At the time of writing, neither Cox nor McDaid has issued any public statements about the matter. The couple was last spotted together in public in September 2025, when they attended the US Open. Other than that, Cox posted about her long-time partner’s birthday in July 2025 and shared a sweet tribute post to him.
