A major incident from Uttar Pradesh has raised serious concerns over public safety and emergency response preparedness. In Meerut, chaos broke out when a moving car on National Highway 58 suddenly caught fire. The blaze intensified within seconds, turning the vehicle into a fireball. Thankfully, the driver managed to jump out just in time, narrowly escaping death. However, the flames quickly spread to a nearby four-storey building, engulfing the structure and causing massive panic. Residents screamed for help as smoke and fire trapped them inside. By the time fire crews arrived, the blaze had already escalated to the upper floors. After a long and difficult operation, the fire was finally brought under control. Tragically, four people lost their lives in the incident, while one person was critically injured and has been admitted to the hospital. Meanwhile in Noida, a similar scare unfolded near the Dalit Prerna Sthal when another moving car suddenly burst into flames. The driver escaped safely, and the fire brigade extinguished the fire after significant effort. In a separate case, police arrested a man selling illegal cannabis near Highway Mode. Investigation revealed he was a head constable from Varanasi. Around 38 grams of contraband was recovered, and he has been charged under the NDPS Act.
