Breaking: Bihar Faces Heavy Rain, Floods, Violence And Road Accidents Ahead Of Elections

Bihar is grappling with multiple crises as heavy rainfall in several districts has led to rivers swelling and flooding. In Saharsa, water has entered religious sites like the Hanuman Mandir, submerging statues and causing concern among devotees. The flooding has affected homes, roads, and public areas, prompting authorities to remain alert and monitor the situation closely. In a separate violent incident, miscreants shot a private hospital manager in Saharsa, seriously injuring his hand. During protests, security guards were also attacked, highlighting rising law-and-order concerns in the region.Tragedy struck in Rohtas district when a Scorpio car collided with an auto-rickshaw, resulting in three immediate deaths and two critical injuries. Most passengers in the Scorpio fled the scene, though one was apprehended by locals. Road safety remains a major concern, particularly during the rainy season.Amid these events, political activity has intensified with the Bihar assembly elections scheduled in two phases on November 6 and 11, and counting on November 14. RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav has appealed to voters to give hisparty 20 months to deliver development, promising to achieve in months what has not been done in 20 years. Central leadership and parties are actively campaigning, with claims and counterclaims emerging about election prospects and governance.
