Breaking: Bageshwar Dham chief calls alleged Ram Mandir donation theft a “major sin” in Ayodhya remarks

Spiritual leader Dhirendra Shastri, popularly known as the head of Bageshwar Dham, visited Ayodhya’s Hanumangarhi and strongly reacted to the ongoing controversy surrounding the alleged Ram Mandir donation theft case. Speaking during his visit, he described the alleged wrongdoing not merely as a sin but as a “major sin,” emphasizing moral and spiritual consequences alongside legal accountability. Shastri stated that anyone found guilty in the case would not escape punishment, expressing confidence in both the judicial system and investigative agencies. He said that those responsible would face consequences under the law and also, as per his belief, divine punishment. Referring to the ongoing investigation, he urged the public to maintain trust in the legal process and avoid being influenced by rumors or emotional narratives. He highlighted that the case is still under investigation and called for restraint until official findings are presented. The spiritual leader also warned against attempts to create divisions within society, particularly efforts he described as misleading people against religious institutions and traditions. He appealed for unity and urged followers to exercise caution and discernment in interpreting such controversies. His remarks come at a time when investigative agencies are actively probing allegations related to irregularities in temple donation handling. The case has drawn widespread public attention, with multiple statements from religious figures, political leaders, and officials adding to the ongoing debate. Authorities have not yet issued any final conclusions regarding the allegations, and the investigation remains underway. Meanwhile, public reactions continue to emerge from different sections of society, reflecting the sensitivity surrounding the issue. The SIT inquiry is ongoing, and further updates are expected as the investigation progresses.
