Political temperatures have risen again in Bihar after Janata Dal (United) triggered a fresh controversy over former Chief Minister Rabri Devi’s government residence. JDU chief spokesperson Neeraj Kumar alleged that several basements were illegally constructed inside the 10 Circular Road residence without official permission. He demanded that once the house is vacated, an excavation should be carried out and the Building Construction Department must investigate the use of government property. Kumar also claimed that plants and materials were shifted late at night, raising serious questions. With Tejashwi Yadav abroad and Lalu Prasad undergoing treatment, JDU questioned who approved these activities. The issue has once again intensified political sparring between JDU and RJD in the state.
