Tension and public anger continue to escalate in Bihar’s Bhojpur district over the controversial Bharat Tiwari encounter case. A Sarvdaliya Mahapanchayat has been organized in Bilauti village, Bharat Tiwari’s native place, with supporters demanding justice and an impartial investigation. Organizers claim that people from across Bihar and other states are expected to participate in the gathering. Bharat Tiwari’s family alleges that the police encounter was not genuine but a deliberate killing. According to the family, Tiwari had already surrendered and laid down his weapon, raising questions about why he was subsequently shot. Viral videos related to the incident have intensified public scrutiny and fueled allegations of police misconduct. Amid mounting pressure, authorities have taken action against officials linked to the case. Jagdishpur DSP Rajesh Sharma has been removed from his post and attached to the police headquarters pending further orders. He has been replaced by Pankaj Mishra. FIRs have also been registered against police personnel involved in the operation. Preparations for the Mahapanchayat have been completed, with banners describing Bharat Tiwari as a martyr and demanding justice. Organizers maintain that the movement is focused on securing accountability and a fair probe into the encounter.
