The dates for the Bihar Assembly elections will be announced today at 4 PM. The Election Commission team recently completed a two-day visit to Bihar to review the preparations. Led by Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, the team met with political parties and security agencies. According to reports, the elections may be held in one or two phases, and the voting process is expected to be completed by the first week of November, while the counting of votes is likely to take place by November 15. With the announcement of election dates, the Model Code of Conduct will come into effect. Political parties have intensified their preparations. The RJD spokesperson said, “We are going to the people’s court, and Bihar will not accept this incompetent and dangerous double-engine NDA government at any cost.” Meanwhile, the JDU spokesperson claimed that the party will win a massive mandate under the leadership of Nitish Kumar. Discussions were also held on issues like seat sharing and women’s empowerment.
