Bihar Election: Election Commission To Release Bihar Voter List, Poll Dates Likely To be Announced Next Week

The Election Commission is set to release the voter list for Bihar today, marking a crucial step toward the upcoming Assembly elections. Sources suggest that the official poll schedule may be announced next week, with the first phase of voting expected after Chhath Puja, around the end of October. Ahead of this, a team from the commission will visit Patna on October 4 and 5 to review election preparations in the state. The announcement is likely to intensify political activities as parties prepare for a high-stakes battle.Meanwhile, several other incidents have gripped headlines. In Jodhpur’s Jhalamand area, a street clash between two groups left four youths injured. In Muzaffarnagar, police arrested three men after a shocking revelation that a mother-in-law plotted a robbery against her own daughter-in-law due to disagreements over lifestyle. Internationally, tragedy struck in Indonesia where a school building collapse during prayer time killed at least one student, with dozens feared trapped. In Delhi, senior BJP leader and five-time MP Vijay Kumar Malhotra passed away at AIIMS after prolonged illness, marking a significant loss for the party. In Noida, a daily wage worker killed his wife and her brother before committing suicide, reportedly due to mental distress, leaving the community shaken.
