Bihar Election 2025: Rahul Gandhi accuses vote theft, claims Congress has strong evidence

The political atmosphere in Bihar has turned tense as Congress leader Rahul Gandhi made a sensational claim regarding alleged vote theft during the ongoing Bihar Assembly elections 2025. Speaking at a press interaction, Rahul Gandhi asserted that his party possesses “strong evidence” of electoral malpractice, directly accusing the ruling alliance of manipulating the voting process. “We have concrete proof that votes have been tampered with in several constituencies,” Gandhi said, adding that the Congress and the INDIA bloc will not remain silent on this “attack on democracy.” Rahul Gandhi’s remarks came shortly after several opposition leaders raised questions about VVPAT malfunction, missing CCTV footage, and alleged irregularities in EVM strong rooms. The Congress leader stated that the Election Commission must act transparently and ensure the sanctity of the democratic process. Meanwhile, the BJP dismissed Rahul’s claims, calling them “baseless and politically motivated.” Bihar Deputy CM Samrat Choudhary said that the opposition is preparing excuses even before the results are out, while Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad accused the Congress of spreading misinformation to cover its impending defeat. With polling for the second phase scheduled on November 11, the issue of alleged vote tampering has added a new dimension to Bihar’s already heated electoral battle, as both alliances NDA and INDIA bloc gear up for a high-stakes showdown.
