Bihar Crime Row: ‘No Action on Scams, Criminals Roam Free — This Is Jungle Raj,’ Says Opposition

The political temperature in Bihar has risen sharply as opposition leaders launched a scathing attack on the ruling government over the deteriorating law and order situation. Questioning the lack of action in scam-related cases, they alleged that “where crimes go unpunished and criminals roam freely, that is jungle raj.”Criticizing both the state and central leadership, the opposition claimed that Bihar is witnessing daily incidents of shootings, murders, loot, rape, and kidnappings, with little to no response from law enforcement authorities. “Where is the Prime Minister now?” a leader questioned, accusing the government of shielding offenders instead of taking strict action. The opposition also pointed fingers at BJP-ruled states, citing National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) data. “The maximum number of crimes are happening in Uttar Pradesh, followed by Bihar. Among the top five states with the highest crime rates, most are BJP-ruled,” they said. The remarks have sparked fresh political debate ahead of the Bihar elections, with the ruling alliance defending its record and accusing the opposition of exaggeration. The issue of law and order continues to dominate the political discourse, raising concerns about governance and accountability in the state.
