CNG prices in Delhi and NCR have once again increased, adding to concerns over rising inflation. The price has been raised by ₹1 per kg, taking the latest rate to around ₹80.09 per kg. This comes just two days after a previous hike of ₹2 per kg, bringing the total increase to ₹3 per kg in just a few days. The continuous rise in fuel prices is directly impacting daily commuters, especially auto-rickshaw and commercial vehicle drivers, who rely heavily on CNG for their livelihood. Many drivers have expressed concern that while fuel prices keep rising, their earnings remain unchanged, making it difficult to manage household expenses, education, and daily needs. In Ghaziabad as well, similar price hikes have been recorded, further affecting transport operators. Drivers are now demanding a revision in fares to match the rising fuel costs. Overall, the repeated CNG price increases are adding pressure on both consumers and commercial transport workers across the region.
