In Delhi, a protest has been held by BJP legislators inside the assembly following the rejection of proposed amendments related to the women’s reservation law. The opposition’s stand against the bill has triggered strong reactions from the ruling party, which accused them of being “anti-women” for blocking the legislation. Led by Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, BJP MLAs staged a demonstration within the assembly premises, carrying banners that read “India will not tolerate insult to Nari Shakti.” Several members were also seen wearing black armbands as a symbolic protest. The BJP claims that the rejection of the bill represents a setback for women’s empowerment and a disregard for gender equality. The protest highlights increasing political tensions between the ruling party and the विपक्ष over key legislative decisions, with both sides exchanging sharp criticism over the handling of the women’s reservation issue.
