Union Home Minister Amit Shah addressed a major event in Araria, Bihar, emphasizing the Modi government’s commitment to removing illegal immigrants from the country. Speaking at the SSB program, Shah reiterated that the promise made during the Bihar elections was not merely political rhetoric but a firm policy initiative of the central government. He clarified that this initiative goes beyond deleting names from voter lists, stating that each illegal immigrant will be identified and deported from Indian territory. Shah further announced the formation of a high-level committee to monitor demographic changes and ensure the integrity of India’s population records. Highlighting security and employment concerns, he warned that illegal immigrants not only impact public resources like ration distribution but also reduce opportunities for local youth and pose a significant national security challenge. Addressing the people of Seemanchal, Shah said the campaign would begin in the region soon, stressing the need for local cooperation to implement the program effectively. He also took a dig at West Bengal, claiming that BJP’s win would help strengthen border control and prevent future demographic manipulations. The Home Minister’s visit marks a strategic push by the central government to reinforce its stand on national security, law enforcement, and demographic integrity.
