Why was Kick streamer Clavicular swatted and detained during a Miami IRL livestream?

Kick streamer Clavicular was swatted during a Miami IRL livestream after police responded to a reported threat, forcing him and his group to the ground on camera. Authorities later determined there was no danger and released them after about 45 minutes. The viral incident reignited concerns over swatting, IRL streaming safety, and Clavicular’s repeated police encounters.

A chaotic IRL livestream involving controversial Kick creator Clavicular has exploded across social media after footage showed the 19-year-old surrounded by police and briefly detained in Miami. The incident, which unfolded live on December 18, 2025, added another chapter to the growing list of dangerous encounters tied to swatting and high-risk livestreaming culture. As Clavicular and his group walked through a public area, officers suddenly intervened, turning an ordinary broadcast into a tense scene that quickly went viral. The clip has reignited concerns about how online notoriety, anonymous tip-offs, and real-world streaming collide in ways that can spiral beyond a creator’s control.

What actually happened during the on-stream swatting incident

According to the footage, police approached Clavicular and his associates with weapons drawn, shouting, “Put your hands up!.. Get down on the ground!” The group complied, lying face-down on the sidewalk with their hands behind their backs as viewers watched in real time. A cameraman attempted to explain the situation to officers, saying, “We’re live streamers… They called the police on us, we’re live streaming. ..” Clavicular added bluntly, “This happens every week.” After assessing the situation, officers allowed the group to sit against a wall while background checks were conducted. During that moment, Clavicular questioned whether authorities would compensate them for damaged clothing, asking, “Would they reimburse, for like, us ruining our clothes?” A police officer replied simply, “No.” The group was detained for roughly 45 minutes before being released. This wasn’t an isolated incident. Clavicular has repeatedly found himself explaining livestreams to police since November 2025, including a December 3 confrontation involving fellow streamer Edmatthews. Following the Miami incident, officers advised him to notify local stations before IRL streaming in the future, warning, “You guys can go talk to the station, so at least we can be aware that you guys are in the area…”Beyond the swatting, Clavicular’s online reputation continues to draw scrutiny. His rise through controversial “looksmaxxing” content and ties to the “black pill” community have already polarized audiences, while a separate recent stream featured threats toward a stream sniper and the use of a homophobic slur.As IRL streaming grows more extreme, Clavicular’s viral arrest clip underscores a sobering reality: online antics can trigger very real, very dangerous consequences, often without warning. Also Read: Who is Clavicular?
