Who is Dr Michael David McKee, arrested for killing Ohio dentist and wife? Motive still unclear

Dr Michael David McKee, a medical doctor, specializing in vascular surgery and licensed in California and Illinois, has been arrested for the shocking murder of an Ohio dentist and wife on December 30. Dentist Soencer Tepe and his wife Monique Tepe were found shot to death in their home on December 30 while their two children were inside the house screaming for help. The manhunt ended with the arrest of Michael McKee, who was the ex-husband of Monique Tepe. The motive is not yet clear. McKee was arrested without any incident and he was linked to the vehicle that was seen outside the Ohio couple’s house when they were killed. McKee and Monique Tepe had married in 2015 and divorced two years later, records show.

Always-on-time dentist failed to show up at work

Dr Spencer’s boss alarmed the authorities when he did not show up at work and remained unreachable. His wife was also unreachable. His boss said Dr Spencer was always on time and it was quite out of character for him to remain unreachable — which concerned the boss. A friend of Dr Spencer went to their house and found the dentist lying next to his bed in a puddle of blood. Police arrived shortly after and the couple was pronounced dead at 10:11 a.m. The manhunt went on for days and the murder was termed as ‘mysterious’ with no credible leads in the case. Investigators said they were killed between 2 am and 5 am when a person of interest was recorded on a security camera walking in an alley next to their home. Dr McKee has a clean medical record with no history of malpractice or disciplinary case. He graduated from the Ohio State University College of Medicine in 2014, the records show. He was listed as a vascular surgeon at OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center in Rockford, Illinois, a city about 90 miles northwest of Chicago. OSF Healthcare said it is “cooperating with authorities.”His criminal record shows only traffic-related tickets.
