A New Jersey woman has been arrested on child sex crimes charges after a former roommate discovered disturbing video footage on a cellphone showing her sexually assaulting a young boy who was young enough to be in diapers, according to court documents.Victoria Anne Cranmer, 25, was identified by her distinct tattoos, including one on her leg depicting “boobs”, her voice and the fact the video was filmed in her own bathroom, police said. The 14-second clip, allegedly recorded on Snapchat on May 6, showed Cranmer laughing while acting inappropriately with the boy in the bathroom , according to an affidavit.

How the crime came to light

Cranmer’s former roommate, identified as “Ms. P” in court records, discovered the video after Cranmer returned a cellphone she had been given as a gift. Ms. P. “freaked out,” saved the video and locked Cranmer out of the social media account before contacting authorities. While the pair lived together, Cranmer often babysat the young son of a woman, Ms. H, who noticed her son behaving strangely and beginning to dislike the bathtub after spending time with Cranmer. The mother later learned the babysitter would bathe herself with her son, documents revealed.

Additional videos found

A search warrant executed on May 28 uncovered additional videos of Cranmer and the boy in the bathroom, according to NJ. com. In one video, Cranmer was seen sitting on a toilet with her genitals exposed while the child touched her, the affidavit alleged. The court documents are heavily redacted given the victim’s age but they indicate the victim’s age was 2 years old.Cranmer was arrested on July 8 and booked into Ocean County Jail on charges of endangering the welfare of a child, manufacturing child sexual abuse material and possession of child sexual abuse material.
