UAE weather: Mercury to hit 34°C today; authorities warns of early morning fog

Watch out for morning fog and rising humidity as the UAE enjoys a partly cloudy Saturday / Image: File

The UAE will see generally fair to partly cloudy skies on Saturday, February 14, 2026, with no rainfall expected but reduced visibility is likely in several areas. According to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM), humidity levels will rise overnight and into the early morning hours, creating conditions favourable for fog formation, particularly over coastal and internal areas. Residents stepping out early are advised to stay alert as patches of dense mist may develop before sunrise.

Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah temperatures today

Temperatures across the country will show a noticeable difference between early morning lows and afternoon highs. Daytime readings are expected to climb up to 34°C in interior and mountainous regions, while early morning temperatures could dip to around 9°C in cooler areas. In Dubai, the mercury is forecast to range between 20°C and 30°C, while Abu Dhabi is likely to record temperatures between 18°C and 32°C. Sharjah may see a slightly cooler start at 15°C, rising to around 31°C during the day. The afternoon hours will feel pleasantly warm under sunny skies, typical of mid-February weather in the Emirates.

NCM’s advisory

The NCM has warned of fog formation that may significantly lower visibility, particularly:

  • Near coastal zones
  • Around the marina and shoreline areas
  • On major highways early this morning

Drivers are urged to use headlights and reduce speed where mist appears, as visibility could drop sharply.Wind conditions will stay light to moderate, mostly from southeasterly to northeasterly directions at 10–20 km/h, occasionally gusting up to 30 km/h. Sea conditions remain slight in both the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.

Humidity levels to rise

Humidity will increase again tonight, potentially leading to another round of misty or foggy conditions by Sunday morning. While no significant weather disturbances are forecast in the immediate term, forecasters indicate that slight changes in wind patterns early next week may bring minor temperature fluctuations. For now, residents can expect a calm, stable weather pattern with warm afternoons and cooler, damp early mornings.Overall, Valentine’s Day in the UAE will feature clear skies, comfortable daytime warmth and foggy starts. This is a reminder to plan early morning travel carefully while enjoying the pleasant winter sunshine later in the day.
