Rain, dust, and cooler temperatures expected until March 15

Weather conditions across the UAE are set to turn unsettled from Wednesday until March 15, with the possibility of rainfall, dusty winds and cooler temperatures in several areas before conditions gradually improve later in the week, according to the National Centre of Meteorology. The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) said Wednesday is expected to bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies across the country. Dusty conditions may occur at times, while some western and coastal areas could see rainfall. Temperatures are also forecast to gradually decrease during the day. Northeasterly winds will be active during the day, occasionally becoming strong enough to lift dust and sand into the air. Wind speeds are expected to range between 15 and 30 km/h, with gusts reaching up to 50 km/h in some places.

Winds are likely to ease by the afternoon. Sea conditions will start out rough, then become moderate to slight later in the day in both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea. On Thursday, humidity levels may rise in the morning across some inland areas. There is also a possibility of light fog forming toward the western regions early in the day. As the day progresses, skies will remain partly cloudy to cloudy, and scattered areas could still receive rainfall. Winds will continue blowing from the northeast, generally light to moderate, but may strengthen at times and stir up dust. Wind speeds are expected to be between 15 and 25 km/h, occasionally reaching 35 km/h. The Arabian Gulf will see moderate to slight waves, while the Oman Sea will remain slight. By Friday, the country may again experience humid morning conditions, with the chance of light fog forming over some western areas. During the daytime, skies will remain partly cloudy to cloudy, and light rain could affect some western, coastal and island areas. Temperatures are expected to begin rising gradually. Northeasterly winds will remain light to moderate, occasionally becoming stronger and causing blowing dust. Speeds are expected to range from 15 to 25 km/h, with gusts reaching 35 km/h. Sea conditions will be slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and slight in the Oman Sea. On Saturday, humid conditions are expected again early in the morning, with the possibility of fog or mist forming over some coastal areas. The rest of the day will see fair to partly cloudy skies across the UAE. Winds will remain light to moderate from the northeast, blowing between 10 and 20 km/h, with speeds reaching 30 km/h at times. The sea will remain slight in both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea. By Sunday, humidity may once again bring morning mist in some coastal areas. The weather will then turn fair to partly cloudy, while temperatures are forecast to rise further. Northeasterly winds will continue at 10 to 20 km/h, occasionally reaching 30 km/h, with sea conditions remaining slight in both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea
