This year, the UAE is set to mark its 54th National Day with celebrations that invite every resident to join in a nationwide display of unity and pride. Under the theme “United”, the festivities aim to bring together communities across all seven emirates through cultural events, screenings, and shared experiences that celebrate the nation’s heritage and collective spirit.

Bringing communities together across the Emirates

The 54th Eid Al Etihad, also known as National Day, falls on December 2 each year and commemorates the founding of the UAE. On this day in 1971, six emirates united to form a single nation, with Ras Al Khaimah joining in February 1972. This year’s celebrations seek to engage the 200 plus nationalities living in the country, fostering a sense of belonging, connection, and national pride.An official song playlist capturing the spirit and joy of the occasion is available on the Eid Al Etihad YouTube channel.
