The United Arab Emirates has restated its position of neutrality amid regional tensions, making it clear that its land, airspace and waters will not be used for any hostile military operations against Iran, as the country continues to push for diplomacy over confrontation. In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the UAE remains firmly committed to not allowing its airspace, territory or territorial waters to be used for any military action targeting Iran. The Ministry also underlined that the UAE will not provide any form of logistical support linked to such actions, reinforcing its stance against being drawn into conflict. The statement reflects the UAE’s broader foreign policy approach, which prioritises stability and restraint during periods of heightened regional uncertainty. The Ministry emphasised that dialogue and de-escalation remain the most effective ways to address ongoing crises, particularly in a region that has seen repeated flare-ups driven by military escalation. According to the Ministry, adherence to international law and respect for state sovereignty are central to resolving disputes and preventing further instability. These principles, it said, form the foundation of the UAE’s diplomatic engagement and guide its interactions with regional and international partners. By reiterating this position, the UAE signalled its continued focus on peaceful solutions and diplomatic channels, while distancing itself from any actions that could contribute to further tensions. The Ministry stressed that sustainable security can only be achieved through communication, mutual respect and a commitment to international norms, rather than through the use of force.
