Ferry services between Dubai and Sharjah have been temporarily suspended as adverse weather continues to impact safe marine travel. The Roads and Transport Authority announced the suspension via a post on X, citing ongoing weather conditions that make ferry operations unsafe at this time. The authority said the decision was taken as a precautionary measure to ensure passenger safety while conditions remain unfavourable. Commuters who use the ferry service have been advised to follow official RTA updates for the latest information and to make alternative travel arrangements during the suspension. No timeline has been shared for when services will resume, with operations expected to restart only once weather conditions improve. The RTA also thanked passengers for their understanding and cooperation, acknowledging the inconvenience caused while stressing that safety remains the top priority.
