Tucker Carlson says he's buying property in Qatar: I am a free American, can live wherever I want to

Former Fox News presenter Tucker Carlson announced that he’s buying a property in Qatar as he addressed criticisms of ‘being a tool of Qatar’. The announcement came as Tucker interviewed Qatari Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani ar the annual diplomatic Doha Forum. “I have been criticised as being a tool of Qatar… I’ve never taken anything from your country and don’t plan to. I am, however, tomorrow, buying a place in Qatar,” Tucker said clarifying that he never took money from Qatar and, in fact, is giving money to Qatar as he’s buying a property in Doha. “I’m doing that because I like the city, I think it’s beautiful, but also to make the statement that I’m an American and a free man and I’ll be wherever I want to be,” Tucker said. Sheikh Mohammed said that many players were putting in “a lot of effort to sabotage the relationship between Qatar and the United States and to try to demonize anyone who will come to this country”.The PM said Qatar is lobbying “to make sure that this relationship is safeguarded and the relationship for us is mutually beneficial”. “We pay all these amounts for lobbying only to protect and to safeguard this relationship,” he added. MAGA activist Laura Loomer hounded Tucker after the announcement and said everyone knows real estate is another way to launder money. “As we all know, real estate is another way to launder money. @TuckerCarlson thinks he’s being cute and funny by saying “Qatar hasn’t paid me! I am paying Qatar” when he says he’s buying a place to live in Qatar this week. The PM of Qatar even said “hopefully a big one, not cheap one,” Loomer sneered. “The Qatari government could easily give Tucker Carlson a multi million dollar home as “compensation” and then only make him pay $1 for it, and Tucker could still say he bought it. There’s a lot of ways to launder money and pay someone off. Tucker isn’t fooling anyone. He’s just upset more people have caught on. Unless the public sees the real estate documents, this is very likely just Qatar washing money to Tucker through “property”,” Loomer wrote.
