Trump says he will always like Elon, calls their public feud 'stupid moment' in Musk's life

Trump and Musk were last seen together at Charlie Kirk’s memorial months after their public fallout.

Donald Trump came up with a strange suspicion in his heart that no matter what happens, he will always like Elon Musk. Speaking on board Air Force One, Trump said the Musk-Trump fallout, which took place in public, was a stupid moment, but not his life, but in Musk’s life. “During Charlie’s beautiful tribute, Elon came up,” Trump said. “It’s good with him. I like Elon; I’ve always liked Elon. It’s good.”“On and off, a little bit, very little. Look, he’s a nice guy and he’s a very capable guy. I’ve always liked him,” Trump said on their volatile equation. “He had a bad spell, he had a bad period, he had a bad moment,” he continued. “It was a stupid moment in his life, very stupid. I’m sure he’d tell you that.” “I like Elon and I suspect I’ll always like him.”After Elon Musk and Trump’s bitter breakup, they were seen for the first time together at Charlie Kirk’s memorial. They sat next to each other and lip readers even decoded that Trump told Musk he missed him. The Trump-Musk fallout started when Musk exited the Department of Governance Efficiency, his brainchild to cut down government excesses. The exit was presented as an amicable departure of Musk from the administration as he had already done his job and needed to return to his own business. But the mask came off soon as Trump and Musk clashed over Trump’s spending bill to such an extent that Elon Musk announced a new party, the American Party. After Charlie Kirk’s memorial, Musk posted his photo showing him next to the president and wrote: ‘For Charlie’. The White House X account shared the post. Charlie Kirk was hopeful of a reconciliation between Musk and Trump. “I think Elon and Trump will reconcile. I don’t want to see this getting barreling out of control, where Elon puts up an America party. It’s a bad idea,” Kirk said in July.
