Social media trolls Elon Musk for promoting Grok AI as a way to roast friends: ‘Like a 12-year-old who just found internet’

Social media trolls Elon Musk for promoting Grok AI as a way to roast friends: ‘Like a 12-year-old who just found internet’

Elon Musk found himself on the receiving end of trolling after a clip from his recent interview with Joe Rogan went viral, with users mocking his claim that Grok AI can be used to “roast your friends” at parties. The clip was from an episode three weeks ago and began circulating heavily as people online reacted to what many called one of Musk’s “cringiest” moments. In the video, Musk tells Rogan that he uses Grok’s “unhinged mode” to deliver “epic roasts” during social gatherings. That was all social media needed. Users piled on, joking that the idea of Musk standing at parties firing off AI-generated insults was more depressing than impressive:

  • It’s amazing we live in a time when the richest man on earth is also the lamest man on earth.
  • Why does Elon musk talk like a middle schooler from 2003?
  • If anyone tries to do this at a party I will throw my shoes at them
  • Or……just be a regular human and speak what’s on your mind and be genuine. Relying on AI for humor has to be the saddest thing imaginable.
  • Spoken like someone that has never been invited to an actual party in their life. This dude is such a loser
  • Call me old fashioned, but I’ll stick to using my brain and humour to make people laugh. Elon is quite possibly the least funny person on the planet.
  • if i wanna make people laugh at a party ill just tell a joke, i dont need grok for that. because i have a personality.
  • No need for any personality of your own. No need to develop a sense of humor that will benefit you the rest of your life. Just use an app that will make everyone avoid you for eternity
  • Outsourcing friendly banter because I’m a reptilian humanoid with severe aspbergers
