'She doesn't talk much': Donald Trump Jr jumps to defend Susie Wiles amid row over Vanity Fair interview

Newly engaged Donald Trump Jr came to the defense of Donald Trump’s chief of staff Susie Wiles after Vanity Fair published a long piece that the publication said was the result of 11 interviews. Wiles was unguarded in the interview as she claimed that Trump somewhat works for retribution and is targeting his critics. Wiles also said JD Vance became a Trump supporter from a critic because of political reasons. As the quotes hit headlines, Wiles said it was a “disingenously framed” hit piece on her and the president. She said much of the context was disregarded and the attempt was top paint a chaotic and negative narrative about the team.

As the White House threw its weight behind Susie, Donald Trump Jr said Susie is the most trustworthy chief of staff that his father ever had. “When things were tough and other supposed friends left my dad like a bunch of rats, Susie stood by his side and worked her ass off everyday to rebuild his political operation and ensure that his comeback in 2024 would be successful,” Don Jr said. Susie was quoted in the interview as saying that Trump has an alcoholic’s mind though he does not drink — it is something to do with a mindset where one believes he can do everything. “She doesn’t talk much about any of this stuff because she doesn’t like to take credit for things (another rarity in DC!) but I have seen it with my own eyes behind the scenes for years now. I very rarely speak out about my father’s staffers, but there is no one on Earth more equipped to serve my father as Chief of Staff than Susie,” Trump Jr said.
