Saudi Arabia is set to redefine luxury, wellness, and economic impact with the opening of AMAALA Triple Bay. Developed by Red Sea Global, the ultra-luxury coastal destination on the Red Sea is projected to create 50,000 jobs and inject USD 3 billion into the nation’s GDP, marking a landmark step in the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 transformation. An oasis of wellness and lifestyle
AMAALA, derived from the Arabic word for hope, is nestled across three naturally occurring bays where the Hijaz Mountains meet the Red Sea. The destination offers a new approach to coastal luxury, with a focus on wellness, rejuvenation, and connection to nature. Resorts and experiences
AMAALA’s launch will introduce six world-class resorts, alongside a yacht club, marine life institute, state-of-the-art marina, and a Marina Village. A 5km linear park, the Wellness Route, will connect the resorts and experiences, allowing visitors to traverse pristine natural surroundings seamlessly.Key properties include:
- Equinox Resort and Residences: 128 guest rooms, suites, and two penthouses, alongside 21 branded residences. The resort emphasises high-performance wellness, featuring an open-air magnesium vitality pool, subterranean spa grotto, hyperbaric chambers, personalised IV therapies, and an Equinox Fitness Club. Five distinct dining venues complete the experience.
- Four Seasons Resort and Residences: 202 keys and 25 residences set amidst lush landscapes with cascading water features. Guests will have access to six dining outlets, a Discovery Centre, and an expansive “Kids For All Seasons” programme.
- Nammos Resort and Residences: 110 rooms and 20 apartments, with penthouse marina views. The resort combines social and solo wellness activities, including the Ilios Bar and Nammos Restaurant on a private island.
- Rosewood Resort: 110 guest rooms and suites, 26 private residences. The resort is divided into zones catering to families, couples, and wellness seekers. The Signature Asaya Spa offers traditional and rejuvenating therapies.
- Six Senses: 100 pool suites and villas plus 25 branded residences. The 3,000 m² spa delivers programs covering sleep, yoga, fitness, detox, longevity, and visiting practitioners, alongside biohacking initiatives.
- AMAALA Yacht Club: Set to become a premier global yachting destination, the club will host events including the Grand Finale of The Ocean Race in 2027, provide a sailing academy, and celebrate the region’s maritime heritage.
Additional first-phase attractions include Corallium, a three-level marine life institute highlighting the Red Sea’s biodiversity, and the AMAALA Hotel, offering 144 keys and multiple dining options for staff and guests alike.
Economic impact and vision 2030 alignment
AMAALA is integral to Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030. Red Sea Global anticipates the project will create 50,000 jobs and contribute SAR 11 billion (USD 3 billion) to the national GDP upon completion. Phase One alone involved an investment of SAR 51.04 billion, encompassing nine resorts and over 1,600 keys. Future openings include the Clinique La Prairie Health Resort, Jayasom Wellness Resort, and The Ritz-Carlton Resort.The destination also promotes sustainable development at a global scale. Designed to host no more than 500,000 visitors annually, AMAALA aims to achieve a 30% net conservation benefit to local ecosystems by 2040. The development is fully powered by renewable energy, preventing the emission of 350,000 tCO₂e each year.
Connectivity and accessibility
Guests can reach AMAALA via the Red Sea International Airport, now offering direct flights from Doha, Dubai, Jeddah, and Riyadh. Transfers to the resorts will be conducted in luxury electric vehicles, with additional European routes imminent. AlWajh Airport is scheduled to reopen in 2026, further enhancing regional accessibility.
