Qatar is set to welcome the world’s military music and marching bands with the inaugural Doha Tattoo, an international festival combining tradition, precision, and cultural exchange. Scheduled from December 16 to 20, 2025, at Katara Cultural Village, the event highlights Qatar’s growing role as a hub for global cultural and artistic gatherings.

A prestigious patronage and cultural milestone

The festival will be held under the patronage of H.E. Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, Qatar’s Minister of Interior and Commander of the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya). His support underscores the event’s significance as a cultural and artistic milestone for Qatar and the wider region.At a press conference, HE Major General Dr. Abdullah Yousef Al Mal, Legal Advisor to the Minister of Interior and Chairman of the Organizing Committee, emphasized that the festival’s debut reflects Doha’s commitment to fostering cultural exchange. He described the event as a stage where military precision meets musical artistry, creating a unique experience that embodies both national values and Qatar’s openness to global audiences.

Event details and international participation

The Doha Tattoo will run over five days, from December 16 to 20, 2025, at the Katara Cultural Village, a venue known for hosting prestigious cultural events.The festival will feature marching and musical bands from seven countries, bringing together diverse traditions and styles. Organizers promise a distinct Qatari character in this first edition, combining traditional elements and modern innovation to deliver a high-quality performance for both local and international spectators.
