‘People who look like me’: Kash Patel rages against Senator Whitehouse’s ‘White only’ private club, says he will knock on the door

'People who look like me': Kash Patel rages against Senator Whitehouse's 'White only' private club, says he will knock on the door

Kash Patel engaged in a war of words with Dem senator Sheldon Whitehouse

FBI director Kash Patel clapped back at Democrat senator Sheldon Whitehouse as the senator insinuated that as Patel will soon face the music as lawsuits against him are piling up. Patel was quick to reply and dug out an old scandal of the Whitehouse family as they were tied to an exclusive beach club that did not allow anyone but Whites. A controversy erupted in 2021 over the rule when the senator apologized that the club leaders were working on the issue of diversity and that he was sorry that the issue was not addressed before. “How’s that private beach club of yours that doesn’t let people who look like me in? I’ll be the guy knocking on the front door, let’s see if you open… meanwhile this FBI crushing violent crime in Rhode Island for people of every color,” Patel wrote listing out the FBI’s work in 2025 only in Rhode Island. The senator shared a Politico article to slam Patel as the article claimed that three FBI agents sued the agency after they were fired and they accused Patel and Pam Bondi of a “retribution campaign” against them for their participation in an investigation into the Capitol riots. “Patel, fourth lawsuit (he’ll have to testify); lies to Congress; jets and partying at our expense — his day will come,” the senator wrote. Kash Patel remained one of the most closely watched Trump officials in the administration so far. His love life dominated headlines, while his private use of FBI jets, attending several sports events, triggered controversies. Recently, his personal email account was hacked by an Iran-linked group called Handala Hack team. They shared Patel’s old photos, resume and said this was just the beginning. The FBI said the leak did not harm the government as it involved no government information and only the director’s old photos. Another major fallout took place when Patel’s deputy Dan Bongino resigned from his post and at that time, Patel’s position in the administration was also in doubt. But Patel put all those behind and now that his boss Pam Bondi is likely to be fired for her handling of the Epstein case that upset the president, Patel is likely to remain unscathed by the major reshuffling that might take place soon.

Senator Whitehouse’s ‘White only’ private club

In 2021, it was reported that Bailey’s Beach Club in Newport only allows White members. Whitehouse at that time said it was not true and he was caught off guard by a question from a local website. “A representative of a local website recently caught me off guard by asking me about diversity at a beach club to which family members of mine belong. I was attending an unrelated event and wasn’t prepared for the question. At the time, I made the mistake of accepting her premise,” he had said. “I then checked the assertion and was assured that, first, the assertion was wrong, there is diversity in the membership and there are non-white club members; and second, that improving diversity remains a priority and an active task for the club’s new board.”
