Not once or twice, Minneapolis woman Renee Good was shot four times, reveal 911 call transcripts

The records of police and emergency operators who responded to the crisis that unfolded after ICE agent Jonathan Ross opened fire at Minneapolis woman Renee Good reveal there was more to the crackdown that turned fatal, as the 911 call transcripts ran across 60 pages. It also reveals that Renee Good was shot four times — there were two gunshots on the right chest, another on her left forearms and the fourth on the left side of her head. People who saw ICE agent firing at Renee Good called 911 and gave the details, as reported by New York Times. “There’s 15 ICE agents, and they shot her, like, cause she wouldn’t open her car door,” one caller said.“She tried to drive away, but crashed into the nearest vehicle that was parked,” another 911 caller said.

A 911 caller told dispatchers that “they shot her [because] she wouldn’t open her car door.”The calls began at 9.38 am on January 7, immediately after the first shot was fired. Paramedics arrived at 9.42 am when God was unresponsive, was not breathing and had an irregular pulse. She was put inside an ambulance en route to the hospital while medics continued to perform CPR. The efforts were stopped about 10.30 am. Jonathan Ross, who was identified as the ICE agent who shot Ms. Good, was still on the scene, according to a report from the Minneapolis Police Department. About 15 minutes later, he was taken to a federal building.Good’s family, which is represented by the law firm of Romanucci & Blandin, announced earlier this week a civil investigation into her death, saying in a statement to ABC News that the family is “calling for peace” and “transparency” as they seek answers about the circumstances that led to her fatal shooting. This is the same law firm that represented George Floyd’s family after his death in May 2020. “What happened to Renee is wrong, contrary to established policing practices and procedures, and should never happen in today’s America,” the family attorneys said in the statement. “Be Good. That is the clear message from her family as Renee’s wish to the world. These words also encompass the mission of their attorneys, who they have retained to not only seek accountability for her death but also to honor her life with progress toward a kinder and more civil America.”
