Nobel Prize for Donald Trump? Emmanuel Macron sets one condition; what he said

French President Emmanuel Macron on Tuesday said that US President Donald Trump could only be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize if he successfully stops the conflict between Israel and the Palestinians over Gaza, news agency AFP reported. Speaking to BFMTV from the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York, Macron stated, “Trump wants the Nobel Peace Prize. The Nobel Peace Prize is only possible if you stop this conflict.”Trump, in his first speech since returning to the Oval Office, claimed that he had ended seven wars in seven months, including conflicts involving India and Pakistan. Speaking at the UNGA assembly, he said, “In a period of just seven months, I have ended seven unendable wars. This includes Cambodia and Thailand, Kosovo and Serbia, Congo and Rwanda, Pakistan and India, Israel and Iran, Egypt and Ethiopia, and Armenia and Azerbaijan.”Trump further argued that he deserved a Nobel Peace Prize for each of these achievements. “Everyone says that I should get the Nobel Peace Prize for each one of these achievements. But for me, the real prize will be the sons and daughters who live to grow up with their mothers and fathers because millions of people are no longer being killed in endless and inglorious wars,” he added. Trump has repeatedly claimed that his diplomatic efforts make him deserving of the Nobel Peace Prize. He has previously argued that mediating conflicts, including between India and Pakistan, should earn him recognition, despite skepticism from international observers and the Norwegian Nobel Committee. The Norwegian panel has maintained that its selection process is based solely on the merits of nominees and is not influenced by media attention or public campaigns. While some countries, including Pakistan, Armenia, Azerbaijan and Israel, have endorsed his nomination, no formal recognition has been granted.
