The situation began on January 4, 2025, when a short clip from Episode 891 of The Joe Budden Podcast started circulating on X. In the clip, Budden appeared to support the idea of Glasses Malone gathering members of the Crips to attack an unnamed individual. Many viewers believed the comment was aimed at Ross.The context traces back to Glasses Malone calling out Adin Ross during the streamer’s recent controversy involving rapper Doechii. Malone, a 47-year-old musician, made aggressive remarks toward Ross, criticizing him for publicly insulting a Black woman. He suggested that even jail time would not stop him from confronting Ross physically and dismissed Ross’ alleged connections or influence.

Although Joe Budden did not directly name Adin Ross, he strongly hinted that the streamer had made offensive remarks about Doechii. Budden said he believed Malone’s anger was justified and claimed the song Doechii released was aimed at a “little nobody” who had spoken badly about her. He added that he supported Malone’s response and hoped the threat was serious. These comments led many online users to accuse Budden of encouraging violence.Adin Ross responded the same day while livestreaming in New York City. He openly insulted Budden and challenged him to meet face-to-face. Ross said Budden was weak and dared him to show up, claiming he was already in Budden’s city.
