Indian-origin woman found dead in Toronto; Canada-wide warrant issued for 32-year-old Abdul Ghafoori

32-year-old Abdul Ghafoori is a wanted man across Canada as the he is the main suspect of the murder of Indian-origin Himanshi Khurana, a 30-year-old woman who was known to Ghafoori. A Canada-wide warrant has been issued for Ghafoori. The crime appears to be an act of intimate partner violence, police said. Khurana’s body was found by police inside a residence near Strachan Avenue and Wellington Street West.On Friday, officers responded to a call following reports of a missing person. On Saturday, officers entered a residence and found Khurana’s body.The death has been classified as a homicide, police said in a news release.Police said Ghafoori and Khurana knew each other prior to her death.Anyone with information is asked to contact the police. “We have released an image of the suspect, and that is out there, and we’re appealing to the public, if anybody would happen to know where this man is to please call police,” a spokesperson said.
