'He's saving the world': Eric Trump lauds father’s role in Gaza accord; recalls him serving french fries last year

Donald Trump’s son, Eric Trump, praised his father’s leadership following the signing of a landmark Gaza peace deal. He said that the US President has gone from “serving French fries” a year ago to “saving the world” today. In an interview with Newsmax, Eric Trump said his father’s achievements marked a dramatic transformation since last year’s presidential campaign trail, when Donald Trump famously served fries at a McDonald’s in Pennsylvania.”He’s literally saving the world. A year ago, he was serving French fries, and now he’s the commander-in-chief who just brought peace to the Middle East, stopped around eight wars, and is doing a phenomenal job,” Eric said. “The entire world is proud of him. It’s amazing, when you talk about the Nobel Peace Prize, leaders from nearly every country are saying he deserves it,” Eric added. Eric also praised the global response to his father’s efforts in the region.”Everybody wants peace, the whole world does. People everywhere are rallying behind this. You saw those scenes not just in Israel but also in Egypt this morning, it was unbelievable. This is exactly why Donald Trump was elected, because it’s what the American people and the world want. And as his son, I’m incredibly proud of him,” he said. The remarks come after President Trump’s high-profile trip to the Middle East, where he signed a ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas during a summit in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt. The deal included a hostage-prisoner exchange and has been hailed by supporters as a breakthrough in the region’s path toward peace. The “French fries” reference comes from a campaign stop in Feasterville, Pennsylvania, during the 2024 presidential campaign, when Trump wore an apron and served fries at a McDonald’s.The event, organized by his campaign, drew widespread media attention as he playfully jabbed then vice-president Kamala Harris over her past claims of working at the fast-food chain, according to NBC news.

Referring to Kamala Harris, Trump said: “It was a big part of her resume that she worked at McDonald’s — how tough a job it was. She … made the French fries, and she talked about the heat: ‘It was so tough.’ She’s never worked at McDonald’s.”According to Democrat leader Harris’s campaign, she worked at a McDonald’s in Alameda, California, during the summer of 1983 while she was a student at Howard University, handling the register as well as the French fry and ice cream machines.Trump, known for his fondness for fast food, spent half an hour behind the counter, taking orders and chatting with customers. At the time, he joked, “I wouldn’t mind this job. I like this job. I would come back and do it again.” Go to Source
