The UAE is preparing for a bustling September, with a lineup of global events and activities that highlight its growing reputation as a leading international hub for business, tourism, and specialized conferences. As the nation becomes a prime destination for high-profile exhibitions and summits, it continues to draw substantial participation from countries around the world. From science and innovation to business, culture, and energy, the UAE is set to host a series of major events that reflect its leadership across various sectors.

Science, innovation, and education


The UAE’s commitment to education, innovation, and the development of young talent is evident with the Expo Science International (ESI) 2025 scheduled for September 27th. Organized by the Abu Dhabi Centre for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (ACTVET), the event will gather bright minds from around the world for interactive workshops, cultural tours, and an international exhibition, offering a global platform for young people to engage in science and technology. Another standout event in the realm of creativity and innovation is the 2025 Congress of Arabic and Creative Industries, which will take place on 14th-15th September. The event, hosted by the Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Centre, will explore the theme “Arabic Creativity Reimagined: Innovation in Storytelling and Audience Engagement”. This conference will provide a platform for leaders in the Arabic language, creative sectors, and media to discuss the future of storytelling and audience connections. The inaugural WHX Tech 2025, set for September 8th-10th, marks a significant milestone as a digital healthcare exhibition. The event will feature over 200 speakers, 300 brands, and 5,000 healthcare leaders from 30 countries, reinforcing the UAE’s role as a pioneer in technology-driven healthcare solutions.In parallel, the 55th Annual Meeting of the International Continence Society (ICS25), held jointly with the Emirates Urological Society in Abu Dhabi from 18th–20th September, will bring together global experts to showcase breakthroughs in treatment and technology for incontinence care. The conference features workshops, roundtables, and scientific sessions, offering invaluable opportunities for learning, research, and professional networking. Meanwhile, the 10th International MEIDAM Congress will take place from 25th-27th September at the Dubai World Trade Centre. This global gathering will attract over 90 countries, bringing together specialists in medicine and health sciences, ensuring continued knowledge exchange and the advancement of medical practices.

Business, investment, and industry

In the realm of business and investment, the International Real Estate and Investment Show (IREIS) is slated for September 12th-14th. This high-profile event will bring together investors and consumers, both local and global, to discuss emerging opportunities in the real estate market, further positioning the UAE as a key player in the global investment landscape. The Ajban Defence Industry & Technology Exhibition, to be held on September 23rd-24th, will highlight the UAE’s defence sector capabilities and showcase its growing ties with local manufacturers. This event promises to foster partnerships and innovations that will strengthen the nation’s strategic defense initiatives. At the end of the month, the Global Rail and Transport Infrastructure Exhibition and Conference (GRTIEC) will take place on September 30th. The conference will attract leaders and experts from the global transport and rail industries, providing an essential space for collaboration and knowledge sharing on the future of rail transport infrastructure.

Heritage, culture, and environment


The UAE’s commitment to preserving and promoting its rich cultural heritage is exemplified by the 22nd Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition (ADIHEX), which is already underway and will run until September 7th. This iconic event features record participation from global brands spanning 15 sectors. ADIHEX is known for blending Emirati heritage with modern innovation, making it a key cultural event on the UAE’s calendar. The Water, Energy, Technology and Environment Exhibition (WETEX), organized by DEWA, will take place from September 30th to October 2nd. This longstanding exhibition serves as a major platform for showcasing advancements in sustainable energy, water technologies, and environmental solutions, attracting global thought leaders and innovators in these vital sectors.

Global cooperation and communication


The UAE will also host two major events dedicated to international cooperation and governance. The 28th Universal Postal Congress, from September 8th-19th, will welcome delegates from 192 countries to discuss key issues such as digital transformation, artificial intelligence integration, and green logistics. This congress will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of postal services globally, promoting equitable access and digital innovation. Additionally, the 14th International Government Communication Forum 2025, organized by the Sharjah Government Media Bureau, will convene thought leaders, innovators, and academics.
