Fly at the same price every time: SalamAir rolls out fixed-fare flight subscription for frequent flyers

Oman’s low-cost carrier, SalamAir, has unveiled a groundbreaking flight subscription programme, mOVemore, designed to offer frequent travellers predictable pricing, convenience, and enhanced travel benefits across domestic and Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) routes. The initiative promises to transform the travel experience in the region, providing passengers with a fixed fare, priority services, and streamlined booking options through the airline’s website and mobile app.

A predictable and flexible travel solution

mOVemore introduces a subscription-based model tailored to the needs of regular flyers. Members can select from two tiers covering both domestic and GCC destinations, with the option of subscribing to either monthly or bi-monthly packages. Depending on their requirements, travellers may choose six or twelve one-way or return flights. Crucially, the fares are fixed and immune to market fluctuations. For instance, a passenger purchasing twelve domestic trips will pay 9.9 OMR per flight, excluding taxes, a price guaranteed regardless of peak periods or demand surges.Membership benefits extend beyond fixed fares. Subscribers receive discounted access to priority services, airport check-in, and a 20kg baggage allowance, all accessible through SalamAir’s online platforms. Flexible payment options allow travellers to start their subscription immediately or from the following month, offering additional convenience and control over travel planning.

Innovation in Oman’s aviation market

Steven Allen, Chief Commercial Officer of SalamAir, emphasised the novelty of mOVemore for the Omani market. “Traditional loyalty programmes often reward passengers with points that are difficult to redeem,” he said. “mOVemore removes the uncertainty by offering flat-rate pricing and predictable travel costs, making day-to-day travel affordable and transparent. Whether for business, family, study, or leisure, passengers now have a reliable method to plan their trips and save consistently.”The product is aligned with SalamAir’s broader strategic vision. The airline is expanding its fleet, aiming to reach 25 aircraft by 2028, which will support the extension of mOVemore to more destinations and accommodate increasing passenger demand across Oman and the GCC.

Technology partnership with Caravelo

SalamAir’s launch of mOVemore is backed by Caravelo, a global leader in travel subscription technology. Caravelo’s platform enables seamless management of flight subscriptions, providing users with a smooth, intuitive booking experience.Iñaki Uriz, Chief Executive Officer of Caravelo, commented: “The Middle East is an emerging growth market for flight subscriptions. Partnering with SalamAir allows us to implement an innovative, customer-centric solution in Oman. mOVemore sets a new standard for loyalty and value, offering frequent flyers predictable pricing and greater convenience.”

Shaping the future of travel in Oman and the GCC

The appeal of mOVemore lies in its combination of simplicity, affordability, and accessibility. Subscribers can plan their travel without fear of fluctuating fares, while enjoying priority services and a guaranteed baggage allowance. For business travellers, it provides dependable access to key GCC hubs such as Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Doha, and Kuwait City. Leisure passengers benefit from predictable pricing for holiday and family trips, transforming the way frequent flyers interact with low-cost carriers in the region. With a growing fleet and a clear focus on network expansion, SalamAir is positioning itself as a regional innovator in affordable air travel. mOVemore not only strengthens customer loyalty but also signals a shift toward subscription-based travel in the Middle East, offering travellers a reliable, stress-free, and cost-effective way to move more and save more.
