Far-right commentator Ann Coulter and Indian-origin MAGA ally Dinesh D’Souza shared a brief romantic patch-up in 1990, according to sources cited by the Observer and Vanity Fair.It is quite ironic now, given Ann’s anti-India propaganda, which is evident on her social media. She has also condemned a lot of Indian-origin members present in US Congress for showing their support to India. Coulter has repeatedly dismissed Indian and Chinese immigrants as “cheaters” in the academic and visa scene. Regarding H1-B, she has a hardline stance which aligns with the ‘America First’ agenda. On the other hand, Dinesh D’Souza has been a keen Trump supporter who agrees on most of his administration’s policies, even the softening stance on H1-B and immigration. In 2024, Charlie Kirk’s podcast also revealed that Coulter used to date Dinesh. During the conversation, it was also confirmed that D’Souza dated Fox News host Laura Ingraham before marrying conservative Dixie Brubaker. D’Souza told Vanity Fair: “It was my mission to marry the all-American girl.” Recently, Coulter even said that she would not vote for Vivek Ramaswamy because he is an Indian. Meanwhile, D’Souza said last month that ‘brown American’ Vivek Ramaswamy can make education better for ‘whiteys’. Coulter has also sparred with Ro Khanna and Pramila Jayapal in recent days for their pro-immigration stance. On X, she launched directed attacks, saying Indians have ‘low self-esteem’ and only know ‘how to self-promote.’On the ongoing H1-B controversy, Ann has spoken a lot against the program, which has boiled down to anti-India hate. She has said that Indians bring their elderly parents to the US for social security, but they bring their “entire village”, which the American taxpayer dollar is paying for. Meanwhile, D’Souza was shocked to see such anti-India rhetoric going around casually, especially after he criticised the construction of Trump’s $300 million ballroom. When a social media user made a sly comment to D’Souza: “You’re Indian, you made nothing, you are nothing, and devoid of creation. Your ilk has been a race of slaves for hundreds of years, and even after being given a chance, you prove what worth you are, devoid of actual thought. Your existence causes me disgust.”D’Souza replied: “In a career spanning 40 years, I have never encountered this type of rhetoric. The Right never used to talk like this. So, who on our side has legitimised this type of vile degradation? It’s a question worth thinking about.”D’Souza was born in Mumbai and moved to the United States in the 1970s. He went on to become one of the most prominent immigrant success stories within the GOP government and even American history. Meanwhile, Coulter, an avid right-winger, came to attention in the late 1990s through her columns and TV appearances, later becoming a bestselling author. She quickly became loved by Republicans and hated by Democrats.
