The death of Celeste Rivas Hernandez and D4vd’s involvement in it remains a puzzle, as investigators have not found the cause of the teen’s death. Neither have they named singer D4vd as a person of interest in the ongoing investigation. D4vd’s manager Josh Marshall distanced himself from the case, triggering speculations as to whether the singer was framed in the case from the beginning. Because experts believe cops would have at least detained D4vd has they found any compelling evidence hinting that he was anyway involved in Celeste’s death.
Celeste Rivas’ cause of death
Celeste was missing since 2024 and she was found dead in a Tesla registered to D4vd on September 8. The cause of her death is not yet ascertained. Legal expert Chad D Cummings told The Mirror US that it’s highly possible that the cause of death may never be known. “The extensive decomposition and mutilation of the corpse introduces a high probability of inconclusive autopsy findings, which can cripple traditional murder prosecutions and necessitate high-risk circumstantial theories,” Cummings said. “Celeste Rivas’s remains were not merely decomposed; they were dismembered and left in a front Tesla trunk for at least 11 days in August heat, with a ticket issued on September 3 and the body only discovered on September 8 due to odor reports from tow yard staff. This level of decay severely compromises forensic analysis.””Internal organs, soft tissue, and toxicological viability may be lost, and the body weight of 71 pounds suggests wasting or decomposition over weeks or months. If cause of death is ruled “undetermined,” prosecutors must rely entirely on circumstantial evidence.”
D4vd’s manager says he had zero knowledge
After drawing flak that he was complicit in D4vd’s relationship with a teenager and that he rented the Hollywood Hills apartment where D4vd was staying with Celeste, the singer’s manager Josh Marshall said he had zero knowledge of anything. He said as a father of three children, it is all very tough for him to navigate. “This news is tragic for so many and for her family. I hope the proper authorities get to the bottom of it soon,” he said, adding that he would not issue any further statement.
Celeste’s ex-boyfriend blames her mother
15-year-old Damien Hernandez, who claimed to be Celeste’s ex-boyfriend, said Celeste was visibly unhappy when they used to date in school, as her mother did not treat her well. Celeste, he said, used to joke about disappearing and then one day she didit. Damien said he was aware of her relationship with D4vd and hoped that she found happiness.
