Charlie Kirk killing: Tyler Robinson's trans partner allegedly flees Utah home; neighbour spots pile of mail outside

The transgender live-in partner of Tyler Robinson has apparently fled their Utah townhouse, leaving behind unanswered mail, unanswered questions, and a neighbourhood rattled by the fallout of the September 10 shooting.Lance Twiggs, 22, a transitioning transgender woman who had been cooperating with investigators since Robinson allegedly gunned down the Turning Point USA founder, Charlie Kirk, during a speaking event, has not been seen for days, according to the New York Post. Neighbours say the cosy $1,800-a-month townhouse sits quiet, with mail piling up and notes still taped to the door.“It definitely is a shock it happened here,” Jesse Riley told The Post, who lives nearby. “It’s a quiet neighbourhood. People mostly keep to themselves. But I haven’t seen anyone come out of that place.”

‘Safe space’ or disappearance?

Washington County sheriff Nate Brooksby previously had said Twiggs was being kept in a “safe space very far away from St George” for security reasons. Authorities said the backlash against Twiggs — who came under fire for not immediately reporting Robinson’s confession — has made safety a pressing concern. Though never charged with a crime, Twiggs has been central to the case. Robinson allegedly left a handwritten note under Twiggs’ computer keyboard, and in a string of text messages, admitted to the killing. Twiggs responded with disbelief, according to investigators, trying to rationalise what was quickly spiralling into tragedy.

Troubled roots and a secret relationship

Family members described Twiggs as the “black sheep” of his Utah household, according to The Post. He was reportedly kicked out by his father in 2018 for being “problematic” and disrespectful. Relatives claimed he struggled with substance use and excessive gaming, and later lived with grandparents before moving in with college roommates. It was only after those roommates left that Robinson entered his life. Their relationship remained a secret from Twiggs’ family. On social media, Twiggs shared support for Joe Biden in 2022 and posted darkly humorous comments about being targeted by ads for schizophrenia and borderline personality disorder.

Community in shock

Two weeks after Robinson’s arrest, police cruisers are still a fixture in the normally tranquil subdivision. The absence of Twiggs, who once walked the streets with Robinson, is now part of the larger mystery haunting the neighbourhood.“People here are still stunned,” Riley told The Post. “You don’t expect something like this in a place like ours.” Go to Source
