Candace Owens accuses Andrew Kolvet of ‘lying’ over Charlie Kirk claim in X dispute

A public dispute between Candace Owens and Andrew Kolvet took over parts of X on July 4, with both sides strongly disagreeing over what was allegedly said in private conversations about Turning Point USA (TPUSA) and its late founder, Charlie Kirk. Owens claimed Kolvet told her about an offer that could have helped take the organization “to the next level,” while Kolvet flatly denied ever making such comments. Neither side has produced public evidence to prove its version of events, leaving the controversy as a highly visible back-and-forth between two well-known conservative figures.

Candace Owens says Andrew Kolvet privately shared details of an alleged offer

The latest exchange began after Andrew Kolvet rejected online claims that TPUSA had been offered major financial support. In response, Candace Owens accused him of being dishonest and said she personally heard a different version from him.“Andrew is lying through his teeth. I would take a lie detector test on this. He told me explicitly, that Bibi offered ‘to take Turning Point to the next level and Charlie said no’. This was in the course of the same conversation where he told me that Charlie declined to have Bibi on his show. The ONLY REASON I knew that Bibi Netanyahu called in the Hamptons was because of Andrew Kolvet. Men should not be capable of telling a bare-faced lie like this. We are a weaker society because of men like this.” Owens later clarified that she was never told a specific dollar amount.“I should add a caveat, I was never told it was millions or billions or any specific amount. Just an offer to ‘take it to the next level’.”She also said a family friend of Kolvet later told her that Kolvet had complained about missing out on millions after Charlie Kirk allegedly turned the offer down. Owens stressed that the reported figure did not come directly from Kolvet but maintained that she believes an offer was made.“There is no question an offer came in though,” she wrote.

Andrew Kolvet rejects claims and asks Candace Owens to provide proof

Kolvet responded by calling the allegations completely false and said the story has been built on rumors rather than facts. “Quite literally all of this is BS.” He went on to deny that any offer was ever made and said TPUSA could not legally accept foreign money in any case. “Netanyahu did NOT offer TPUSA millions. It’s literally just an internet rumor popularized by crank Max Blumenthal.”Kolvet also rejected Owens’ claim that he discussed the matter with her or with members of his family. “I NEVER told Candace any of this because it didn’t happen. I NEVER told any family members any of this either, because again, it never happened.”He finished by challenging critics to provide evidence. “If Israel offered us money, prove it. Show the proof. You wont be able to because it’s a lie and always has been.”The disagreement is part of a wider split that has existed for years between Owens and figures connected to TPUSA. This latest clash focuses on whether a private conversation and an alleged offer ever took place. Owens says she is certain it happened because Kolvet personally told her about it. Kolvet says the conversation never happened and the entire claim is false. For now, neither side has released documents, recordings, messages, or other public evidence to support its position. As a result, the dispute remains a direct disagreement between the two figures, with supporters on both sides backing the version they believe.
