Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath, on Friday, said that in light of emerging technologies posing unprecedented challenges, the world needs a more just, inclusive, and responsive global system.Addressing the 26th ICCJW (International Conference of Chief Justices of the World), he emphasised that even 80 years after its adoption, the UN Declaration remains relevant today.He further emphasised that, whether addressing the challenge of global warming or finding solutions to the world crisis, India’s perspective can provide a path forward.”While emerging technologies are making life easier, they also pose unprecedented challenges, including cybercrime, data theft, and many other new problems. At such a time, justice and morality can play a vital role in shaping global peace and human civilisation. We should reconsider the UN’s declaration 80 years ago: that the world needs a more just, inclusive, and responsive global system. Eighty years on, this declaration remains relevant today,” said the Uttar Pradesh chief minister.”Our need today is not limited to those old beliefs, but to consider contemporary needs and better utilise platforms like the UN by speaking out on issues like climate change, cybersecurity, health crises, and global terrorism. We should also consider the ancient system of India in which the worship of earth, water, fire, air and sky is considered the basis and in the tradition of India, by considering them as a part of our life, their purity and their protection have always been given priority.
