'Sau chuhe kha kar, billi haj ko chali': Amit Shah mocks Tejashwi over crime remarks; hits out at Rahul Gandhi's 'Ghuspetiya Bachao Yatra'

NEW DELHI: Union home minister Amit Shah on Saturday took a swipe at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, saying that Gandhi could not protect infiltrators by taking out a “Ghuspetiya Bachao Yatra.” He was speaking at an election rally in Khagaria, Bihar.Shah referred to Rahul Gandhi’s “Vote Adhikar Yatra” held in August and said, “Rahul Gandhi cannot protect infiltrators by taking out ‘Ghuspetiya Bachao Yatra’.”He also said that serious crimes in Bihar had declined during the NDA’s 20-year rule. “I was listening that former Bihar CM Lalu Prasad Yadav’s son (Tejashwi Yadav) was talking about loot, murder and crime in Bihar. This is, ‘Sau chuhe kha kar, billi haj ko chali,’” Shah said. “In Nitish Kumar’s tenure of the last 20 years, there has been a 20 per cent decline in cases of murder compared to 2005,” he added. Shah said the election in Bihar was not just about electing representatives. “This election is not just to make someone MLA, minister, or CM. These elections are being contested to decide whether to bring ‘Jungle Raj’ or ‘Vikas Raj’ in the state,” he said.Criticising the opposition alliance, Shah said, “Mahagathbandhan, Lathbandhan, which have a record of corruption, can they develop Bihar? Only Narendra Modi and Nitish Babu, who are not accused of even a penny’s worth of corruption, can develop Bihar.” Earlier in the day, the INDIA bloc’s chief ministerial candidate Tejashwi Yadav said the BJP was “scared” by the nomination of a leader from the Extremely Backward Classes (EBC) as the opposition’s deputy CM face for the Bihar polls. The alliance has named Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP) founder Mukesh Sahani, an EBC leader, as its deputy CM candidate.”The hatred of the BJP towards the EBC community has come out in the open. They are repeatedly questioning the nomination of Mukesh Sahani as our deputy CM candidate. Why is Amit Shah so frustrated by the nomination of an EBC leader as Bihar’s deputy CM candidate,” Yadav said in Patna. He also said BJP leaders, including Shah, who often describe religious minorities as “infiltrators,” were now questioning why the INDIA bloc had not named a Muslim leader as its deputy CM face.”The BJP, which has been repeatedly abusing religious minorities and threatening to send them to Pakistan, is now worried about their representation. We will soon address their concerns,” he said.”I have always maintained that this nation is for everyone. All the people of India, irrespective of their religion or caste, have contributed their bit to build this nation,” he added. Go to Source
