Rajahmundry-Tirupati Alliance Air flight launched: Rammohan Naidu inaugurates service; reduces travel time

RAJAHMUNDRY: Flight services have started from Rajahmundry to Tirupati. Union civil aviation minister K Rammohan Naidu has launched services virtually from New Delhi. AP tourism and cinematography minister Kandula Durgesh flagged off first service from Madhurapudi Airport, Rajahmundry. Alliance Air will operate flights on every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. The flight will depart from Tirupati at 7.40 am and arrive in Rajahmundry at 9.25 am. The same flight will depart in Rajahmundry at 9.50 am and arrive in Tirupati at 11.20 am. With this flight service, the travelling time from Rajahmundry to Tirupati will be reduced significantly.Speaking from New Delhi, Union minister K Rammohan Naidu said that Tirupati-Rajahmundry flight service is Dasara gift for the people of Rajahmundry. He recalled that the flight services have been started from Rajahmnundry to New Delhi and Mumbai already and added that these two services stood as most demanding services in the country which proves the capacity of Rajahmundry Airport. He informed that tickets for Tirupati-Rajahmundry were sold out in the beginning. As there is probability of rate increase in fares in the routes where the demand is high, he said that fare for first 35 seats is Rs 1999 and Rs 4,000 for next 35 seats ion first three months. In the wake of requisition of local people’s representatives, he said that the efforts will be made to operate flight services to Shirdi, Ahmedabad, Goa and Varanasi from Rajahmundry. He further said that an Air service is being operated Benguluru and another service will be added very soon. He proudly said that all flight services which are being operated from Rajahmunjdry are running with 100 percent occupancy. He informed that second terminal works in Rajahmundry Airport which are in progress will be complete soon.
