Rahul Gandhi's fresh swipe at PM Modi over India-US trade deal: 'Compromised PM'

Rahul Gandhi

NEW DELHI: Leader of opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi on Friday lashed out at Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the India-US trade deal, accusing the Centre of striking a “deal for Adani’s release.”Continuing his sharp attack on the PM Modi-led Centre, Rahul posted on X: “Compromised PM negotiated not a trade deal, but a deal for Adani’s release.” The Congress party also strongly criticised the trade deal, calling it “one-sided”. In a post on X, the grand old party alleged: “The fraud case against Adani in America will be closed. It’s now clear that Modi struck a one-sided deal with America for the sole purpose of giving Adani some relief. That’s precisely why Modi can’t speak openly in front of America.” It added, “Whatever Trump says, Modi does exactly that. Modi is completely compromised.”Congress also attached a Bloomberg article to the post, claiming: “US authorities move to end fraud cases against Gautam Adani.”
