‘Generation gutter’: Kangana on ‘young Hindu women’ who took part in CJP protest

'Generation gutter': Kangana on 'young Hindu women' who took part in CJP protest

Kangana Ranaut dubbed Gen Z women as “so-called westernised Indian women”.

NEW DELHI: BJP MP Kangana Ranaut Tuesday doubled down on her attack on the Gen Z protestors who had mobilised at the now-withdrawn CJP protest, calling them “Generation Gutter”, who “try to live independently without accountability”.Ranaut dubbed Gen Z women as “so-called westernised Indian women”, who are “not good at studies, but they are so ugly and corrupt that they cannot be homemakers either”, yet they “proudly flaunt their freedom to use drugs, consume alcohol, or have endless body counts”.Lashing out at the “behaviour of young Hindu women”, who had gathered to protest against the NEET paper leak and were demanding the resignation of then Union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan, the actress-turned-politician said those female protestors wanted to “imitate the lives of independent career women without earning that freedom”.”Women who are truly independent make rebellious choices, hold bold opinions, take unconventional career paths, and accept accountability for their actions. They have to, because they are on their own. They do not do this at the cost of their parents or families,” Ranaut wrote on her Instagram Story. The Mandi Lok Sabha MP said, “If you try to live independently without accountability, you are just a distorted entity.” “…they proudly flaunt their freedom to use drugs, consume alcohol, or have endless body counts, while shamelessly living off their parents’ earnings and constantly fighting to live independent lives without actually being independent. Gentle reminder. An independent life needs to be earned. If you try to live independently without accountability, you are just a distorted entity. Gutter chap,” the actress wrote on her Insta story.

On Monday, Ranaut mocked the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), the internet sensation-turned pressure group that drew thousands of students at New Delhi’s Jantar Mantar after Dharmendra Pradhan stepped down as Union education minister. The Mandi MP took to Instagram Stories to slam Gen Z protest reels, calling them “puke inducing.”In a cold-worded post, Ranaut mocked the protesters’ style of expression and conduct, writing, “the way they speak, and the kind of language they are using, never in my life I have seen everything in each and every frame so jarring and so crass all at ones, ewwww who is birthing and raising them?”The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) on Saturday announced the immediate withdrawal of its 36-day agitation at Jantar Mantar, saying it was ending the protest in “good faith” after the government accepted its key demands. The protest site was cleared after the CJP demands were met.The withdrawl came hours later Pradhan quit and Pralhad Joshi was appointed as the new education minister getting additional charge apart from portfolios of new and renewable energy and consumer affairs, food and public distribution.
