CHANDIGARH: Rayat Bahra University celebrated the festival of Lohri with cultural fervour at its open-air theatre, showcasing the vibrant spirit of Punjabi tradition and community bonding. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, faculty members, and guests, creating a colourful and joyous atmosphere.Addressing the gathering, Group Vice-Chancellor Prof Sanjay Kumar underlined the importance of preserving and promoting cultural heritage within academic institutions. Chancellor of Rayat Bahra University Gurvinder Singh Bahra, was also present.The programme commenced with the arrival of guests, accompanied by soothing Punjabi instrumental music that set a festive mood. The anchor welcomed the gathering and highlighted the cultural and seasonal significance of Lohri, emphasising its association with harvest, gratitude, and togetherness. This was followed by a series of lively cultural performances, including energetic Bhangra and soulful Punjabi folk songs that enthralled the audience.
