They had taken a loan of Rs 27 lakh but paying it off became a point of friction. Sources also said Kajal wanted to live separately from Ankur’s family because of harassment over dowry. Police are looking into the loan documents. The relationship, the family said, began on a note of trust, as Kajal was friends with Ankur’s sister before the two got married. Kajal’s family alleged that soon after the wedding, she was subjected to repeated harassment over dowry by Ankur and his relatives.
