LUCKNOW: A young Army aspirant on her way to UP’s Mau by train for her NCC ‘C-certificate’ exam has lodged a police complaint against a TTE, accusing him of attempting to rape her inside a First AC cabin of the Ahmedabad-Gorakhpur Express on Sunday, reports Pathikrit Chakraborty. GRP has announced a reward of Rs 10,000 for information leading to the arrest of suspect Rahul Kumar, who is absconding. The 24-year-old complainant, who was travelling from Gorakhpur, said the ticket checker offered her a berth in the AC coach after finding out that she didn’t have a ticket. The woman said she was in a rush and boarded the train in the hope that she would get a ticket from the TTE after paying the requisite fine. “He threatened to have me prosecuted for ticketless travel if I disclosed to anyone what he tried to do,” she said.
